Paris Attractions - Orsay Museum tickets

The Orsay Museum (Musée d Orsay in French), situated in the old Orsay railway station, opened in 1987 and since then has undergone remarkable development. It has strengthened and extended its collections and put on world-class exhibitions.
The Orsay Museum collections are rich and multi-disciplinary: painting, sculpture, decorative arts, architecture and photography. Its impressionist masterpieces by Monet, Renoir, Cézanne, Van Gogh, or Courbet, Rodin and Carpeaux, have brought it an international reputation, as well as recognition for its expertise in the history of art in the second half of the 19th century. Despite this reputation, it describes itself as a "Museum on a human scale".
This ticket gives you priority entrance to the the Orsay museum via entrance C and is valid for the permanent exhibitions.
Please be aware the Museum is closed on Mondays, 1st January, 1st May and 25th December.
The nearest metro stations are Solferino, Assemblee Nationale, Concorde and Tuileries.

Please note that as of 4th April 2009, all National Museums will be free of charge to all EU citizens under the age of 26. To claim their free entry they need to queue up at each museum and show their passport at the ticket desk. They will not be able to use any fast track facilities. In addition, primary and secondary school teachers can get in for free if they can show proof of their occupation (the equivalent of a French Carte Pass Education)
