Hello Paris Blog – August in Paris
Whilst many Parisiens have deserted the city, the Paris holiday atmosphere continues through August.
Paris Plage takes place every year over the summer period, and turns parts of the banks of the Seine into a seaside resort. Sun loungers, parasols, and even swimming pools line the Quais de Loire, La Villette Canal Basin, and outside the town hall you can try your hand at an array of different sports including wrestling and athletics.
If you take a leisurely cruise down the Seine you will be able to see everyone relaxing beside the river, and if you book a Batobus ticket, and you spot something that takes your fancy, you can hop off and take a closer look.
And if you are looking for something to do with the children, Parc de la Villette has got Europa Kids on until 26th August - a giant open air inflatable playground for kids. A great way to tire them out!
So if you are still wondering about taking a short summer break, and you are trying to think of somewhere to go, Paris is a great choice for a citybreak in August.
