For those of you looking for the easiest way to get around Paris from the minute you step off the plane or the train, the Paris Visite Travelcard is the ticket you are looking for. If you have it in advance you can sweep past the lines of people queuing at the automatic ticket machines pondering over what type of ticket they need, head straight through the barriers and onto a metro or RER train. What could be simpler! They give you unlimited travel on the metro and RER systems, public buses, and trams for 1, 2, 3 or 5 days.
But what zones to pick? This is also less complicated than it seems! Most of the main Paris sights, including Gare du Nord (the Eurostar terminal in Paris) are all situated within zones 1-3 (see our Paris Maps page). The main sights outside these zones you may want to visit are the Palace of Versailles (zone 4) or Disneyland (zone 5). Charles de Gaulle airport is also in zone 5, and Orly airport is in zone 4, however we do have separate airport transfer tickets for these.
