The Paris Museum Pass gives you access to over 50 museums and monuments in Paris, including the Louvre*, Palace of Versailles, Musée d’Orsay, Pompidou Centre, Arc de Triomphe and many more. Unfortunately, Notre Dame cathedral crypt and tower, which was included in the pass, is closed until further notice due to the fire in April 2019.

*NB: New time slot booking procedure for the Louvre – please see the Useful Information section for details.

All museums ask an entrance fee in Paris, but with this pass, you can pay one small fee and then visit as many or as few as you like. It comes with a large leaflet detailing the museums included and their opening times and how to get there (a list of included museums can be found under the downloads tab).

The pass is in ticket format which will be posted to you so no need to exchange a voucher in Paris and is only activated when you use it for the first time. It comes in 2, 4 or 6 day format which only starts from the first time you use it (ie, 48 hours from the first time you scan it for the 2 days).

Children up to and including 18yrs of age can get into most Paris museums for free, and if they are EU citizens, it’s free up to the age of 26.

Paris museum passes' validity is calculated from the time of the first visit. So a 2-day pass will be valid for 48 hours, a 4 day pass for 96 hours and a 6 day pass for 144 hours from your first entry. Each pass allows a single admission to each of the listed sites.

Please note that the Paris Museum Pass doesn't include access to temporary exhibitions or conference visits.

Most museums and monuments are free of charge for children under 18 and EU residents under 26 (to claim their free entry EU citizens will need to queue up at each museum and show their passport at the ticket desk. Children under 18 accompanied by an adult holding a Paris Museum Pass can go to the fast track entry with the adult. Some museums are free for all children under the age of 18. Check our list of museums to see if the specific museums you wish to visit are free for children under 18). Museums and monuments are usually closed on Mondays or Tuesdays, as well as the 1st January and 1st May, however, they are also open late on some evenings.

The skip-the-line aspect of the pass cannot always be guaranteed in certain sites operating an access system that requires the production of a free ticket or when there are security checks in place or limited regulated access for security reasons.

Please remember to organise your holiday schedule according to the opening days and holidays of the museums and monuments. And don’t forget some sites are open in the evenings!

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE LOUVRE MUSEUM HAS CHANGED ITS ENTRY PROCESS FOR PARIS MUSEUM PASS HOLDERS.

1/Before your visit to the Louvre Museum

Holders of the Paris Museum Pass will need to book their time slot before their visit to the museum. To do so, you will need to go to the Louvre official website (louvre.fr), click on ‘Plan your Visit’, choose ‘Advance Tickets’ and click on ‘Paris Museum Pass holders’. Follow the procedure. You will need to sign up and you will need your Paris Museum Pass bar code to make your booking. Print a copy of the confirmation to take with you and show to the Louvre on arrival.

2/ On the date of the visit

All Paris Museum Pass holders must present their Paris Museum Pass, along with a document that confirms their reservation of the Louvre Museum. Entry to the museum is via the Glass Pyramid.

ONCE MUSEUM PASSES HAVE BEEN OPENED AND ACTIVATED, THEY CANNOT BE REFUNDED. We highly recommend checking the status of the museums you want to visit before you travel.

Due to COVID-19, online booking of a time slot is mandatory at most sites in order to limit the number of people present at the same time. Skip-the-line access with the PMP is therefore impossible for the moment. Wearing a mask is compulsory from the age of 11. No masks are provided by the sites.

We advise all passengers to regularly check latest informations in regards to the measures put in place by the supplier to insure your security before your visit. Special measures may apply at short notice so it’s important to keep up-to-date.

NB: This is a material ticket which will be sent to you by post. Your Paris Museum Pass is supplied to you with a large leaflet detailing all the Museums included. This list can also be viewed in our Downloads Section.

A must have before you leave home!

Have it delivered to your house and use immediately when you get to Paris. Always send someone from your party to walk up to the front of any line and show the pass to find out whether you can jump both the security line and the ticket line. They seem genuinely pleased that you have to Museum Pass. At the Arc de Triomphe we walked past a 100 yard ticket line and then were escorted off the long security line to our own entrance. At the Louvre you actually have your own special entryway (specified in the pass) for instant access. I bought the card for my 13 year old despite many sites being free for kids because I got the impression that you would still have to stand on ticket lines to get them a free ticket, they can't just walk straight in with you.

Well worth it

Really useful. We went to the Louvre, D'Orsay, Versailles and Musee de Cluny (fantastic) as well as the Notre Dame towers and the crypt. Made things so easy.

Museum Passes

Great to have these passes in advance. Please note that students and young people under 25 can get into most of these attractions for free but they have to queue up regardless so we even bought the passes for our young adults. Well worth it for Louvre in itself but useful for other attractions as well.

Highly recommended

Very glad we purchased these, we more than got our money's worth from the attractions we visited. Useful to skip the very long line for tickets to get into the Louvre. Same couldn't be said for Versailles though, the pass is valid for entry but by the time we got there (mid-morning), the queue of ticket holders was huge. If you want to use this pass for Versailles, get there early.
