This is a lovely way to go up Montmartre if you board the train at Place Blanche and use it to go up to Place du Tertre. It's a steep way up to Montmartre and this is a great, and fun, alternative.

Montmartre's fun little train
We took our grandson (age 12) on the train and we all had fun. It was a very bumpy ride over the cobbles, but this added to the fun. We chose to do the round trip, without realising the train stopped at Montmartre for 15 minutes before continuing its journey. The commentary was interesting, and overall a value for money trip.
