The book of 10 Paris Metro tickets, also called a t+ carnet, is the most economical way to get around Paris. You get 10 undated single journey tickets, enabling you to travel using the metro, public buses, tramways within zones 1-3, RER (zone 1 only), and includes the Montmartre funicular.

If you only need to make a few journeys, the book of 10 single Paris metro tickets is a cheap and flexible option. They are undated, can be shared out (they don't have to be used by the one person) and are valid indefinitely, so if you have any left over they can be used on your next trip to Paris. These are the actual tickets, so no need to exchange a voucher before you can get the tickets. Make sure you buy them in advance so you can step off the Eurostar and straight on to the metro, avoiding the huge queues that can form at the machines and booths!
All the main sights and attractions of Paris are within zones 1-3 and so are covered by these tickets. Versailles, Disneyland and the Airports are the only places you may want to visit outside this area, so you would need separate tickets for these. Please note that Paris Metro tickets and RER tickets have a magnetic stripe on the back. Please take care not to bend, tear or scratch the tickets and keep them away from mobile phones. If one of the tickets doesn't work on the day of use, you will be able to take it to any RATP booth in Paris and ask for a free replacement.

This will be our third trip to Paris ,we think these tickets are a must.
Saves having to have change for ticket machine ,saves having to spend time making sure you are getting the correct ticket.
One thing to remember ,if you change to a different line you will need to use a different ticket ,but can still use the first one coming back on the same line.
So mark on each ticket you use,which line you used it for.

I purchased 2 x single book of metro tickets and it was an excellent idea to do so in advance. No queuing following departure from Eurostar. Tickets came quickly and worked efficiently. They even included map which was very helpful.
These were easy to order through the website and arrived promptly by post. However none of the tickets worked in the machines but the staff readily exchanged each ticket as we wanted to use them. Luckily staff were available at stations when we needed them. Did not really succeed in avoiding queues as intended.

Great, easy to use and to find your way round. Take the bus for the views. Metro for speed. We went from Monmatre to Gare De Lyon on the bus which took in the Arc De Triomphe, past the Eifel Tower, Notre Dame along the side of the Seine all for one ticket. Brilliant!
I always buy all my tickets here after having got caught in the massive line for tickets at CDG, or for that matter, at the Gare du Nord. Paris Visite, transport to/from the airport, carnets, a massive time saver as they are delivered to your letterbox in the blink of an eye. Hello Paris is one of the better suppliers of services.

Excellent service
Previously I'd tried to buy Metro tickets on the Eurostar but when I did, they only had two left when I wanted four. This time I found HelloParis! sold carnets. I ordered them on the Monday and they were delivered next day, very good service.
It's a bit more expensive but well worth it in terms of convenience.
